What data we process

This website has no forms, requires no registration and uses no analytics or advertising tools. We only process personal data in these cases:

When you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, your contact details and any information you choose to share (for example, the student's age or level).
When you visit the website: the hosting server automatically logs technical connection data, such as your IP address, to keep the site secure and working.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

To answer your enquiries and tell you about courses, timetables, prices and trial classes. Legal basis: your request and steps taken before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To keep the website secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not make automated decisions or build profiles.

Minors

Many of our students are children and teenagers. If you are under 14, please ask a parent or legal guardian to contact us: we cannot process your data without their consent (Art. 7 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018, LOPDGDD).

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with it and, at most, one year after our last contact, unless you enrol; in that case it is kept for as long as the relationship lasts and for the periods required by law. Server logs are managed by the hosting provider, which deletes them periodically.

Who we share it with

We do not share data with third parties unless required by law. To run the website and our contact channels we rely on these providers:

GitHub, Inc.: website hosting.
Telefónica: email service.
WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there.
Google: only if you load the Google Maps map.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. In those cases the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to englishcorner@telefonica.net or to Carrer Manresa, 23 Baixos, 08788 Vilanova del Camí (Barcelona), stating which right you wish to exercise and proving your identity.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

English Corner has profiles on Instagram and Facebook. If you interact with us there, Meta's terms and privacy policy also apply. The Instagram posts shown on this website are served as our own images: viewing them does not connect your browser to Instagram.
